I believe that as a whole, humans beings have become disconnected from our Natural World.
We sit behind desks from 9-5 (or longer) we send our children to schools where playtime outdoors is limited and often surrounded by concrete and 'safety'. Our society has developed a mistrust of mother nature, opting for Man made solutions.
Where is that getting us?
I believe the more time we spend, distraction free, in nature, will allow us to tune into our OWN core nature. We are a PART of this world, and it is so easy to forget as we rush through our day. (in the car, kids to school, rush to work, half an hour lunch break, work, pick up kids, rush home...repeat).
Sound familiar? We even get our exercise INDOORS because it's 'more efficient'.
"Scientists are now 100% certain that the Earth is experiencing its 6th mass extinction event and that human society is the primary driver. We believe that we need a dramatic shift in human consciousness and awareness within the next decade towards the creation of an "ecological culture" if life as we know it is going to be able to survive another generation. An "ecological culture" is based on a value and belief system that understands that humans (and all wildlife) are all part of an interconnected world where the actions of anyone have long-term and wide-spread cascading impacts.' - Sustainable Human.
This is important. Our life balance is all out of whack, and as a result we are raising children with problems. Our own system of labelling of our kids, such as ADHD, and the growing cases of bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression, has risen off the charts, as we reach for more pharmaceuticals to mask our symptoms. I’m not saying a walk in the park will solve all our problems. But...
I would love for us to stop for a minute and look up.
WE are responsible for teaching our children about the world they live in. They are discovering their world through how we experience it as adults. As humanity evolves, we have choices. Are we moving closer to an ideal, self regulated, happy, empathetic, engaged, responsive (not reactive) society? Are we where we want to be?
We have some waking up to do…
I am committed to guiding people back to Natural Solutions. To break the habits of reaching for that product we have used forever, and realise how easy it is and more efficient to go natural. I am passionate about guiding others towards a healthier life balance, where their emotional cup gets filled, and they therefore have more energy and light to share with others.
Come take a (virtual) walk with me. I’d love to inspire a path for you to start.
